Airbnb genera un impacto mayor a 2,700 mdd en México durante 2018
De acuerdo con información proporcionada por Airbnb, la gigante empresa dedicada a ofrecer alojamiento temporal con presencia mundial, únicamente durante el año 2018 se registraron cerca de 5 millones de usuarios utilizando su plataforma en México, lo cual se traduciría en un impacto económico de 2,700 millones de dólares.
México también se posiciona como el noveno país con mayor participación de dicha plataforma, generando 2.7% del impacto económico total de la compañía generado durante el año pasado.
Según se reporta, la plataforma registró un impacto total de 100,000 millones de dólares en 30 países. Esta lista se encuentra liderada por Estados Unidos (33,800 mdd), seguido por Francia (10,800 mdd), España (6,900 mdd ), Italia (6,400 mdd ) y Reino Unido (5,600 mdd); que en conjunto equivale al 63.5% del impacto económico total de Airbnb.
De acuerdo con su comunicado, “los anfitriones se quedan con 97% del precio que ellos fijan al compartir su espacio”, por lo que esta clase de inversión ha estado creciendo en popularidad desde su fundación en 2008.
México no es el único país en Latinoamérica que muestra resultados positivos para este tipo de mercado, también sobresalieron lugares como Brasil (2,100 mdd), Colombia (560 mdd) y Argentina (664 mdd).
